Data Collection
NetworkTools does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or network diagnostic data. All network tests (ping, traceroute, DNS queries, port scans, speed tests, LAN scans) run directly from your device to the target server. We never see your traffic, your network configuration, or your diagnostic results.
On-Device AI
The on-device AI diagnostics feature runs entirely on your device using Apple's local machine learning model. Your questions, network data, and diagnostic results never leave your device in on-device mode. No data is sent to our servers or any third party.
Cloud AI (Optional)
If you choose to use cloud AI diagnostics, your diagnostic questions and tool results are transmitted to our backend servers for processing. This data is used solely to generate diagnostic responses and is not stored, logged, or used for training. Cloud AI requires an active subscription and a NetworkTools account.
Account Information
If you create an account using Sign in with Apple, we receive only a unique identifier and your name (if you choose to share it). Your email address is never shared with us unless you explicitly choose to. Account information is used solely for subscription management and optional SSH connection sync.
Third-Party Services
NetworkTools does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app communicates directly with the network targets you specify and, optionally, with our backend for cloud AI and subscription services. No data is shared with external analytics or advertising networks.
Data Retention
Cloud AI queries are processed in real time and not stored. SSH connection configurations synced to your account are stored until you delete them or delete your account. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support.
